Practice Continuity Planning for the Practitioners Who Show Up Every Day

Care does not happen in isolation. Neither do the moments that interrupt it. MA'AT was built for health and wellbeing practitioners, therapists, coaches, doulas, functional medicine providers, and integrative health professionals alike, who understand that responsible practice includes planning for what comes next. We offer practice continuity planning, continuity stewardship, and the relationships and systems needed to keep care moving forward, whatever arises. Continuity planning is where most practitioners start with MA'AT, but it is not where the work ends.

A Different Kind of Practice Continuity Support

Most practitioners are trained to care for others. Very few are given the tools to care for their practice with the same intention. MA'AT exists to close that gap. We work alongside practitioners to develop continuity plans that reflect the real responsibilities of independent practice, and we provide ongoing stewardship to help those plans remain current, accessible, and ready when they are needed.

This is not a document you file away and forget. Practice continuity planning, done well, is an ongoing process of preparation, coordination, and care. And for MA'AT, continuity is also a starting point. It is the entry into a larger ecosystem built around four interconnected commitments.

Dr. Chapman offers genuine, compassionate collaboration. She listens intently and seeks to understands people’s stories and needs. She pairs these relational strengths with the ability to make good judgments and fast, smart decisions in leadership and business roles, smoothly coordinating people and information, navigating complexity, and developing practical, evidence-informed solutions that help people, private practices, and organizations to flourish.

K.Richardson Coach

Dr. Chapman's extensive experience was invaluable in helping me transition my career focus to grant writing for a community-based project. She not only guided me through the basic process but also followed up until I submitted the grant. Thanks to her assistance, I am proud to say that I secured my first grant, and I have since used those skills to obtain additional grants.

S. Bates LMFT

Leaving 40 years of hard-driving work behind terrified me — I didn’t know who I’d be without it. Out of 10+ coaches, Dr. C. truly saw me: my mirror in hard moments, my light in uncertain ones. Retirement is the courageous gift I gave myself.

Four Dimensions of Continuity

Continuity Through Readiness

Helping practitioners prepare for the unexpected with clear plans, organized systems, and a continuity steward who can carry the work forward with care. This is the foundation, and the work most people associate with MA'AT first.

Continuity Through Relationships

Building the professional connections that make practice less isolating and more sustainable. Through Aegis, practitioners can connect with an integrative network of providers across disciplines, refer clients to trusted colleagues, and access business partners for the operational needs every practice has.

Continuity Through Innovation

Creating space, through Hygieia Innovation, for practitioners and interdisciplinary collaborators to imagine new approaches to health, wellbeing, and community life. This is where new partnerships and new ideas take shape.

Continuity Through Transition

Supporting practitioners as their work evolves, whether they are entering the field, expanding their scope, or stepping away from it. This includes record stewardship and dedicated transition events for providers navigating change.

Built by a Practitioner Who Understood the Gap

MA'AT was founded by Dr. Carizma Amila Chapman, PhD, DMFT, a psychotherapist, executive, and practice support collaborator with C-suite experience spanning clinical care, organizational leadership, strategic planning, and program design. Dr. Chapman built MA'AT from a place of deep understanding: the practitioners who show up every day to support others deserve the same quality of structure and stewardship they extend to their communities. MA'AT is the infrastructure she wished existed. It is now here for you.

A Foundation for Something Larger

Underlying MA'AT is a broader and evolving vision known as Building Asclepieia, a body of work exploring sanctuary, systems, and the creation of more restorative ways of living and practicing. MA'AT is where that vision takes operational form, supporting health and wellbeing practitioner support at the level of systems, structures, and sustained care.

Begin Where You Are

Whether you are preparing proactively, building relationships, navigating a transition, or responding to a critical moment, support is available. MA'AT offers practice continuity services designed to meet health and wellbeing practitioners at every stage of practice life, with particular commitment to serving women and BIPOC professionals whose expertise and vision are too often underserved by traditional practice support.
