MA'AT's signature work centers on continuity stewardship — ensuring practices, clients, and professional responsibilities remain supported during critical transitions. Executor Services and Continuity Planning Services are MA'AT's signature offering. These services provide structured support in the event of death, incapacitation, or major life transition — ensuring that clients, records, and professional responsibilities are ethically managed and protected.
This includes Professional Will development, secure documentation storage, emergency response coordination, and continuity planning events such as Professional Will Co-Work Sessions and Professional Wills & Tea with Dr. C. These services will soon be supported by Aegis by MA'AT — a dedicated practice management and continuity platform launching June 2026, designed to help providers organize critical information, prepare for transitions, and maintain continuity of care.
Through Hygieia Innovation gatherings, providers step out of isolation and into collaborative spaces where new ideas, partnerships, and models of care can emerge. Transition Coaching offers structured, personalized support through three distinct pathways: Practice Architecture for providers building a new practice; Practice Innovation for those seeking to expand or evolve their professional scope; and Practice Transition Coaching for providers approaching retirement or a meaningful career pivot. This is not crisis management; it is clarity during change.
We also invite providers to participate in our Provider Assessment Opportunity — an ongoing effort to understand the lived experiences of practice management across the field. Providers may choose to participate in an interview, complete a brief survey, or do both. All participants are entered into a raffle to win one of three $100 gift cards. Your voice shapes this work.

Carizma Chapman, PhD, DMFT

MA'AT was founded by Dr. Carizma Amila Chapman, PhD, DMFT: a seasoned executive, psychotherapist, and practice support collaborator whose career spans clinical care, organizational leadership, strategic planning, program design, and grant development. Dr. Chapman built MA'AT from a place of deep understanding: the providers who show up every day to care for others deserve the same quality of structure, stewardship, and support they extend to their communities. With years of C-suite experience and a grounded commitment to the wellbeing of healthcare and social service entrepreneurs, Dr. Chapman designed MA'AT as an ecosystem — one where practice management solutions, continuity planning, and collaborative innovation work together to meet providers at every stage of their journey. Her vision is both practical and principled: that sustainable, ethical care begins with the people delivering it feeling prepared, supported, and never alone in the work. MA'AT was created to offer providers the kind of structural support they are often expected to build alone. MA'AT operates as part of a broader sanctuary vision — creating structures that support the people who deliver care, while complementary initiatives create spaces that support restoration and reflection.
